HONG KONG, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 6.3 magnitude jolted 56km SW of Mendi, Papua New Guinea at 15:17 GMT on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 5.2 km, was initially determined to be at 6.5019 degrees south latitude and 143.2616 degrees east longitude.
