JALALABAD, Afghanistan, March 5 (Xinhua) -- A total of seven militants of the Islamic State group were killed as Afghan aircrafts targeted the hardliner group's hideout in Achin district of Afghanistan's eastern Nangarhar province on Sunday, spokesman for provincial government Attaullah Khogiani said Monday.
The airstrikes, according to the official, were conducted Sunday afternoon during which a weapon cache of the insurgent outfit was also destroyed.
IS militants have yet to make comment on the report.
