KIEV, April 17 (Xinhua) -- At least eight people were killed and 21 others injured early Tuesday in a road accident in Ukraine's central Dnipropetrovsk region, authorities said.

Three vehicles carrying about 30 people collided in the city of Kryvyi Rih, the State Service for Emergencies said.

Most of the victims were passengers of a minibus. The National Police said four of the injured are in critical condition.

In 2017, over 3,400 people were killed and about 35,000 injured in traffic accidents in Ukraine.
