KIEV, April 18 (Xinhua) -- The Ukrainian Interior Ministry and the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have agreed to cooperate on combating drugs and cybercrimes, the ministry said on Wednesday.
The memorandum on mutual cooperation was signed in Washington by Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov and FBI Director Christopher Wray, the ministry said in a statement.
The signing of the deal will enable the two parties to cooperate on issues related to information exchange and the access to certain technical facilities, the statement said.
Avakov on Sunday kicked off a five-day visit to the United States to hold talks with the FBI chief and representatives of the U.S. Department of State.
