ULAN BATOR, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia announced on Monday that it will hold its national literacy festival in early May.
Under the theme of "National Literacy Independence," the annual event will witness a series of seminars, cultural exhibitions and meetings to display and promote the literary history of the landlocked Asian country.
Meanwhile, competitions relating to traditional literature, language and calligraphy will also be held nationwide.
Mongolia began holding the festival annually since 2003.
