BRUSSELS, May 14 (Xinhua) -- The European Union (EU) announced on Monday the draft agenda of its summer summit to be held at the end of June.
The EU said in a statement that the June summit is expected to aim at reaching a consensus on migration, address a number of issues related to security and defense, adopt conclusions on taxation, and on innovation and digital issues, as part of the follow-up to the leaders' debates on these topics.
Leaders will also have a first exchange of views on the next multiannual financial framework and decide on the timeline for completing the negotiations.
The European Commission, the bloc's executive arm, on May 2 proposed the multiannual financial framework for the years 2021 to 2027, which ties EU budget funds to a government's respect for the rule of law.
