ISLAMABAD, July 10 (Xinhua) -- Security forces have recovered arms and ammunition during a search operation in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and southwest Baluchistan provinces on Monday, official reports said Tuesday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations, the media wing of Pakistani army said in a statement that the forces conducted the operation on the intelligence tip-off regarding presence of the arms in the area.
The operations were launched in Balochistan's Dera Bugti's district and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's tribal district of south Waziristan.
The Intelligence based operation was a continuation of the ongoing Operation Radd ul Fasaad, or rejecting discord, in the country.
Launched in February last year, the joint operation by the army and other law enforcement agencies aims at eradication of hidden sleeper cells of militants in the country.
