NEW DELHI, July 10 (Xinhua) -- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday began delegation-level talks with visiting South Korean President Moon Jae-in in the national capital.
Both countries are likely to ink a number of pacts after the talks, sources said.
Earlier in the day, President Moon was given a guard of honor at the Rashtrapati Bhawan (Indian President's official residence).
"President of Republic of Korea, Moon Jae-in was accorded a ceremonial welcome @Rashtrapatibhvn by President Ram Nath Kovind and PM @narendramodi," External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar tweeted.
"A special strategic partnership rooted in historical & cultural connect spanning centuries," the ministry spokesperson added.
President Moon arrived at Delhi Sunday on a four-day state visit to India.
