YANGON, July 10 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar's domestic airliner, the Yangon Airways, has made an emergency landing as crack was reported with the windshield after taking off from Mandalay airport, said a release from the Home Affairs Ministry on Tuesday.
With 26 passengers and five crews and two security personnel aboard, the flight ATR-22 which departed from Mandalay to Myitkyina on Monday at 09:35 a.m. local time, reported a crack in its windshield on the right side while flying, forcing the airliner to return and make an emergency landing.
The passengers have been transferred to another plane to continue their trip to Myitkyina on Tuesday.
