BEIJING, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) -- Chinese shares ended higher in the morning session Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.91 percent to end the morning session at 3,378.79 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index gained 1.18 percent to close at 11,309.43 points. The ChiNext Index, China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, was up 1.11 percent to close at 1,789.24 points.
