JALALABAD, Afghanistan, Jan. 17 (Xinhua) -- Six militants including a senior Taliban commander were killed after security forces aircrafts targeted a hideout of Taliban group in the eastern Nangarhar province, the provincial government said on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the security forces, acting upon intelligence reports stormed by aircrafts a hideout of Taliban militants in Khogiani district on Tuesday evening, killing six insurgents including a notorious commander Mohibullah alias Yaser on the spot.
Taliban militants are yet to make comment on the report.
