HANOI, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam and Mongolia's top legislators agreed on Monday to promote bilateral exchanges and cooperation in politics and security-defense.
During their talks in Vietnam's capital, Vietnam's National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and her visiting Mongolian counterpart Miyegombo Enkhbold pledged to effectively implement agreements signed in the fields of diplomacy and security-defense; increase dialogues, information and experience sharing at all levels; join hands in fighting crimes; enhance partnership in defense industry, logistics and military medicine; and accelerate negotiations of agreements on criminal extradition and the transfer of convicted persons, Vietnam News Agency reported.
The two legislators agreed that Vietnam and Mongolia should bolster their economic and trade connection. After the talks, they signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the two legislatures.
