HOUSTON, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- The 2018 Houston Auto Show opened Thursday with over 700 of the latest model year imports and domestic vehicles on display, including a bevy of classic custom cars from nearly 40 of the world's top automakers.
This year's Ride & Drive section brings back the CAMP JEEP and the first ever opportunity to test-drive BMW.
Meanwhile, to commend the brave and honorable work of Houston's first responders, especially during Hurricane Harvey which blew ashore along the Gulf of Mexico on Aug. 25 as the most powerful hurricane to hit Texas in more than half a century, the Houston Auto Show and Houston Automobile Dealers Association hosted a First Responders Day on Thursday.
First responders will have the privilege to enter the Houston Auto Show for just 1 U.S. dollar. The regular entrance price for an adult is 12 dollars.
According to the Houston Auto Show Chairman Tony Gullo, since the first Houston Auto Show in 1983, the show has introduced thousands of vehicles to Houstonians.
