TOKYO, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks advanced Tuesday morning, tracking gains made by Wall Street overnight as the U.S. 10-year Treasury note yield eased and technology, industrial and financial sectors gained ground.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average added 307.22 points, or 1.39 percent, from Monday to 22,460.85.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, gained 17.81 points, or 1.00 percent, at 1,792.62.
Electric appliance, mining and nonferrous metal-linked issues comprised those that gained the most by the morning break.
