LONDON, March 5 (Xinhua) -- British stocks rose on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index up 46.08 points or 0.65 percent at 7,115.98 points.
Smurfit Kappa Group, an Europe's leading corrugated packaging company, soared 4.61 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. DS Smith and CRH rose by 4.13 percent and 2.58 percent, respectively.
Rentokil Initial, a health and medical service supplier, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 4.22 percent.
