LONDON, March 19 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decrease on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down 121.21 points or 1.69 percent at 7,042.93 points.
Barclays, the major British bank, soared 3.58 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Land Securities Group and British Land rose by 3.31 percent and 2.53 percent, respectively.
Micro Focus International, a British software and information technology business, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 46.35 percent. Glencore, a multinational commodity trading and mining company, dropped 4.22 percent. Anglo American, the international mining group, dropped 4.20 percent. Enditem
