MINSK, April 10 (Xinhua) -- Belarus' first-quarter consumer price index for goods and services rose 2.5 percent compared with the previous quarter, the National Statistical Committee of Belarus said on Tuesday.
Inflation in Belarus stood at 0.8 percent in January, 0.9 percent in February and 0.8 percent in March, the committee said.
Compared with December 2017, prices for food products, non-food products and services in March increased by 2 percent, 1.9 percent and 4.2 percent respectively.
The Belarusian government plans to limit inflation to within 6 percent this year.
In 2017, inflation fell to a record low of 4.6 percent from 10.6 percent in 2016 and 12 percent in 2015.
