TOKYO, May 14 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks opened flat Monday as investors both bought on the back of the Dow Jones Industrial Average's seven-day winning streak and sold for profits after the Nikkei last week hit a three-month high.
As of 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average added 12.67 points, or 0.06 percent, from Friday to 22,771.15.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, gained 1.62 points, or 0.09 percent, to 1,796.58.
Real estate, warehousing and harbor transportation service issues comprised those that gained the most, while precision instrument, and pulp and paper issues led those that declined the most in the opening minutes after the morning bell.
