NANNING, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia will be the Country of Honor of the 15th China-ASEAN Expo, slated for Sept. 12 to 15 in Nanning, capital of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Yang Yanyan, with the expo secretariat, said Cambodia will have an independent exhibition hall with 145 booths to demonstrate its achievements in such areas as agriculture, infrastructure, small and medium-sized businesses, education, and tourism.
The year 2018 marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Cambodia, and is the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the China-ASEAN strategic partnership.
Initiated in 2004, the expo is an important platform to promote trade and relations between China and ASEAN.
China is ASEAN's largest trade partner, and ASEAN is China's third largest partner. Trade between the two rose 13.8 percent to 514.8 billion U.S. dollars last year.
