LONDON, June 15 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Friday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 1.70 percent, or 131.88 points, to close at 7,633.91 points.
ROLLS-ROYCE HOLDINGS, an engineering company, soared 7.61 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. TESCO and RELX increased by 2.00 percent and 0.99 percent, respectively.
OLD MUTUAL, a financial service company, was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 5.02 percent.
