RIYADH, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabia announced on Friday the interception of a missile shot from Yemen towards border city Najran, Al Ekhbariya local TV reported.
The Saudi air forces intercepted the missile shot by Houthi militias, which was the second attack that targeted the city this week.
Another border city Jizan was also targeted with missiles on earlier days. No injuries were reported of such attacks.
The missile attacks that mainly targeted the southern borders of Saudi Arabia were the response of the Houthis to tackle airstrikes by the Saudi-led coalition involved in a war in Yemen.
Saudi Arabia has accused Iran of standing behind Houthis by supplying them with weapons and missiles.
