YANGON, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar President U Win Myint will pay a goodwill visit to Nepal at the invitation of Nepal President Bidhya Devi Bhandari, the Information Ministry said on Saturday.
During the visit, U Win Myint will attend the summit of Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC) scheduled to be held in Kathmandu on Aug. 30.
BIMSTEC is a regional bloc grouping India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
Nepal, a host country for the fourth summit, is the rotating chair of BIMSTEC which was established in 1997.
The third summit of the BIMSTEC leaders was held in Myanmar's capital Nay Pyi Taw in March 2014.
