NEW DELHI, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- India's External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will visit Vietnam and Cambodia on Aug. 27-30, official sources said on Saturday.
The minister's visit to the two Southeast Asian countries will provide an opportunity to hold in-depth discussions with the political leadership on a wide range of global, regional and bilateral issues, and advance India's strategic engagement with these countries and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region.
In Vietnam she will co-chair the 16th meeting of the joint commission along with Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh. She will also call on Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc. Besides, the minister will inaugurate the third edition of the Indian Ocean Conference.
In Cambodia she will have a bilateral meeting with her counterpart Prak Sokhonn and call on Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen and President of Senate Say Chhum.
This will be Swaraj's first visit to Cambodia.
