TIRIN KOT, Afghanistan, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- Taliban militants have dynamited a key bridge in Afghanistan's southern Uruzgan province, a provincial government official Sayed Shah Habibi said Wednesday.
"The Taliban insurgents in the latest attack against government interests dynamited a key bridge in provincial capital Tirin Kot city on Wednesday morning," Habibi told Xinhua.
Describing the attack on the bridge as "enmity with people", the official said that the bridge was constructed in 2012 to connect provincial capital Tirin Kot city to several districts and villages.
The destruction of the bridge had added to the suffering of people in the restive province, the official said.
Taliban militants have yet to make comments.
