BERLIN, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- Werder Bremen have completed the transfer of Borussia Dortmund's Nuri Sahin, both Bundesliga clubs announced on Friday.
The 29-year-old defensive midfielder penned a two-year deal and will stay until summer 2020 with the "Green-Whites".
"I guess you don't have to say much about Nuri's qualities. He has experienced almost everything in the Bundesliga. He won the Bundesliga and German Cup with Dortmund. Besides, he played for Real Madrid and Liverpool. He has the potential to improve us further," Bremen coach Florian Kohfeldt said.
Nuri Sahin has played ten years for the "BVB". He made 274 club appearances and provided 26 goals since his arrival.
"The talks with those responsible were very good. Werder is a big club where currently something develops. I am looking forward to being part of it," Nuri Sahin said.
Dortmund face Hannover to kick off the 2nd round in Bundesliga on Friday.
