BERLIN, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- Hainan Airlines celebrated here on Wednesday the 10th anniversary of its direct flight between Berlin and Beijing together with Berlin Tegel Airport.
"Since Sept. 5, 2008 Hainan Airlines has operated direct flights between Berlin and Beijing, which has witnessed and greatly promoted the cultural exchange and economic development between two countries," Zhiwei Shi, assistant general manager of marketing, sales department of Hainan Airlines, told Xinhua.
Addressing the ceremony here, Engelbert Luetke Daldrup, chief executive officer of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg, thanked Hainan Airlines for its contribution to the airport and to the region.
"We hope to continue to expand our relations and to write further good stories together for the next years," Luetke Daldrup said, announcing that Chinese customers will be provided better services when the new airport Berlin-Brandenburg Airport is ready in two years.
