PHNOM PENH, Sept. 25 (Xinhua) -- Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen will lead a high-level delegation to Vietnam on Wednesday to pay last respects to late Vietnamese President Tran Dai Quang, the Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
Cambodian dignitaries accompanying the prime minister will include Sar Kheng, minister of interior, Men Sam An, minister of national assembly-senate relations and inspection, and a number of senior officials of the government, the ministry said in a statement.
In a condolence letter to his Vietnamese counterpart Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Sept. 21, Hun Sen expressed great sadness on the death of President Quang, saying that it was a huge loss of a leader who was devoted to promoting the wellbeing of the Vietnamese people and relations of fraternal friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia.
Quang died in a hospital in Hanoi on Friday at the age of 61 due to illness. Vietnam will hold a two-day state funeral for the late president on Sept. 26-27.
