ANKARA, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- Turkey has sent an emergency aid team to Indonesia in the wake of a powerful earthquake and tsunami, Turkish aid agency said on Saturday.
Turkish Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) said in a statement that a five-person aid team was dispatched to the quake and tsunami affected areas.
According to Turkish Foreign Ministry, Turkey is ready to provide necessary assistance to Indonesia.
"Turkey is in full solidarity with the government and brotherly people of Indonesia and ready to provide any assistance needed," the ministry said in a statement.
At least 405 people were killed on Sulawesi Island of Indonesia from Friday's 7.7-magnitude earthquake and tsunami, according to the country's disaster management agency.
Indonesian government declared a state of emergency for the Island on Saturday.
