MAIMANA, Afghanistan, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- A clash between Taliban and security forces has left seven insurgents dead in Khawja Sabzpush district of Afghanistan's northern Faryab province on Wednesday, a police spokesman in the northern region Sayed Sarwar Hussaini said.
The clash, according to the official, broke out early Wednesday during which 10 insurgents were injured in the ongoing fighting.
He added that government forces would continue to chase the militants to ensure lasting peace in the area.
Taliban militants have not commented yet.
