WUHAN, Oct.13 (Xinhua) -- Chinese women runners dominated the Tianmen International Half Marathon in Tianmen city, Hubei pronince here on Saturday.
Li Chunxia of China took the gold medal with a time of one hour 25 minutes and 41 second while her compatriot Tang Siqin settled for the silver medal at 1:29:41 and Gao Guijiang finished third at 1:30:38.
The men's race saw Kenyan Antony Kahumthu Wairuri (1:07:09) and Timothy Kipchirchir (1:09:48) have a one-two finish ahead of Chinese runner Du Shiyang (1:10:20).
Tianmen half marathon, attracting 10,000 participants from 12 countries and regions, is the first of its kind held in this central city of China.
