WASHINGTON, Nov. 2 (Xinhua) -- The Washington Wizards announced that their center Dwight Howard will be making his debut with the team in Friday's home game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Howard, who is troubled by his injury in the back, missed all of training camp, Washington's entire exhibition schedule and all of the team's games to date.
Coach Scott Brooks said he is unsure how many minutes Howard will play, but he is planning on starting the big man in the game.
In addition to Howard being back in the lineup, Washington will also have forward Markieff Morris back on Friday as well.
Howard is Washington's biggest addition this summer, but in his absence, the team has just claimed one win out of seven games so far.
Veteran Ian Mahinmi has served as the Wizards' starting center to date, averaging just 4.5 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
