KAMPALA, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- The African netball reigning champions Uganda have started preparations ahead of their three international games away against England from Nov. 27 to Dec. 2 in Liverpool.
Susan Anek, president of Uganda Netball Federation told Xinhua on Thursday that they are taking the invitation by England seriously because it will give the local players good exposure.
"We have started training ahead of the trip. We shall play in the World Cup next year in Liverpool and playing in the same place for the hosts is good for our players," Anek said.
Uganda qualified for the 2019 World Cup after retaining the Africa Netball Championship when the tournament took place in Zambia this year.
Uganda, England, Samoa and Scotland have been grouped in Pool D for the 2019 World Cup. The World Cup will take place July 12-21. Enditem
