CAIRO, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- The Arab League (AL) on Saturday strongly condemned a decision by Israel to impose travel ban on two Palestinian officials.
According to the decision, Adnan al-Husayni, a member of Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization and minister of Jerusalem Affairs, and Adnan Gheith, Palestinian governor of Jerusalem, were banned from travelling and communicating with some Palestinian figures.
"The decision is unfair and it is a violation of international and humanitarian law," said Saeed Abu Ali, AL assistant secretary general for the occupied Palestinian and Arab lands.
"The travel ban is a crime committed by the occupation authority," Abu Ali added.
He called on Israel to reverse its decision and to stop the escalation policies against Jerusalem and its Palestinian residents.
