NEW DELHI, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- Ten children were killed and 10 others critically injured after a bus fell into a ravine in a remote forest area of Dang district in India's south Gujarat state on Saturday evening, local media the Indian Express reported.
About 60 students have been rescued and admitted to local hospitals, and rescue operations are underway to find three missing students, district administration officials were quoted as saying.
The accident took place between Mahal and Badripada forest area after the driver lost control of the bus carrying more than 70 students of a coaching class in Amroli area of Surat, police sources said.
Suresh Pawar, chief medical officer of Ahwa Civil Hospital, said 10 children died while 10 others were critically injured and shifted to a hospital in Surat.
