KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- Seven militants were killed in an airstrike launched against Taliban outfit in Miwand district of the southern Kandahar province on Sunday, police spokesman in the province, Qasim Azad said Monday.
The air raid, according to the official, was launched in Shalghami area of Miwand district on Sunday evening to target a Taliban vehicle, killing seven insurgents and destroying the van.
Taliban militants haven't commented.
