MADRID, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is the latest addition to the club's ever-lengthening injury list.
The Real Madrid website on Wednesday confirmed the Belgian international has suffered a muscle injury on the left side of his pelvis and "could face between 10 days and two weeks" out of action.
Courtois joins Marcos Llorente, Gareth Bale, Mariano Diaz, Marco Asensio and Tony Kroos in the treatment room, with Keylor Navas returning in goal.
Navas would have almost certainly played in Wednesday's night's Copa del Rey tie against Leganes and the Costa Rican international will now also play in vital Liga Santander games away to Betis on Sunday and at home to Sevilla the following weekend.
Meanwhile the Spanish press reports on Wednesday that the club will fine Gareth Bale after the Welsh striker was photographed driving away from the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium 12 minutes before the end of Sunday's 2-0 defeat at home to Real Sociedad. When asked about the incident in his Tuesday press conference, coach Santiago Solari commented it was a "private" matter that the club would deal with internally. Enditem
