DUBAI, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- The United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United States on Saturday discussed further coordination in the defense and military fields, state-run WAM news agency reported.
During the meeting between Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE's Armed Forces, and Austin S. Miller, visiting commander of NATO's Resolute Support Mission and U.S. Forces - Afghanistan, both reveiwed the roles of the two countries in combating extremism, violence and terrorism.
They also highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation and supporting efforts to buttress security and stability for the regional countries.
