KABUL, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- The Taliban outfit has claimed responsibility for the deadly motor bomb that rocked Kabul and claimed at least four lives and injured 90 others on Monday evening, the armed outfit said in a statement posted on its website on Tuesday.

In the statement, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Majahid asserted that a suicide bomber named Matasim Logari blew up his explosive-laden car in Green village area at Police District 9 at around 07:00 p.m. local time, enabling four more fighters to enter the compound of foreigners to target those inside, "resultantly dozens of foreigners and their Afghan associates" were killed.

The terrified bombing which happened at 07:00 p.m. local time Monday, according to Interior Ministry spokesman Najib Danish, had killed at least four people and injured 90 others, most of them civilians.

Danish rebuffed Taliban's claim, saying that the majority of the victims are innocent civilians including nearly two dozens of children and all are Afghans.
