JAKARTA, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- World no. 8 Saina Nehwal of India secured a women's singles final berth after beating Chinese shuttler He Bingjiao in a semifinal match of 2019 Indonesia Masters badminton tournament on Saturday.
Nehwal went through a weary 3-game semifinal match ended in 58 minutes in Istora Senayan badminton arena here.
She lost the first game, gained victories in following two games. The match that eventually entitled her a final berth ended with scores of 18-21, 21-12 and 21-18.
The semifinal match win secured a second consecutive final berth for Nehwal at the tournament.
Nehwal lost in 2018 Indonesia Masters final match against top seeded Tai Tzu Ying from Chinese Taipei.
In the final match on Sunday Nehwal would vie against the winner of another semifinal match between Chen Yufei of China and Danish player Carolina Marin.
