SARAJEVO, March 26 (Xinhua) -- Bosnia and Herzegovina's (BiH's) national football team tied with Greece 2-2 in European Championship 2020 Qualifiers on Tuesday evening in Zenica, a city located 70 kilometers northwest of the capital.
At the capital's Bilino Polje stadium, both teams threw caution to the wind after Edin Visca scored the first goal for the hosts in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute, Muhamed Besic, Haris Duljevic and Edin Dzeko, all from the host team, attempted to score but visiting goalkeeper Odisseas Vlachodimos blocked their shots. In the 15th minute, Miralem Pjanic produced a superb freekick to make it 2-0 for the host team.
The visitors cut the deficit as Kostas Fortounis converted a spot kick in the 64th and Dimitros Kolovos headed an 85th-minute equalizer.
The BiH team now level with Greece on four points but stay in third with inferior goal difference. Italy are atop of Group J with six points.
