KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, April 14 (Xinhua) -- A total of 993 army officers and soldiers graduated from an Afghan military training center and were commissioned to the army on Sunday, according to a statement.
"They graduated after conclusion of their three-month training at the Army Corps 205 Attal in Kandahar and would be commissioned to the Afghan National Army to serve the nation," the statement issued by army corps said.
The fresh graduated force would take part in military operations against militants in Kandahar and other southern provinces.
Since January 2015, Afghan security forces have assumed full security charges from NATO and U.S. forces after the NATO-led troops switched from combat to support role.
