KUNMING, April 28 (Xinhua) -- No. 2 seed Zheng Saisai defeated compatriot Zhang Shuai 6-4, 6-1 to win women's singles title at the Kunming Open on Sunday.
Top-seeded Zhang Shuai suffered from a slow start while Zheng Saisai, who had won the Kunming Open three times, took the chance to win the match.
Zheng needed one hour and 28 minutes to beat Zhang, who could not find her rhythm and suffered from unforced errors. Zheng Saisai also won the singles title of Kunmin Open in 2014, 2015 and 2017, but lost to Russian Ireina Khromacheva in the final last year.
"I didn't think much about my opponent, I just concentrate on my tactics," Zheng said. "The court is fast and I have to concentrate on my own technique and tactics."
