RIYADH, May 7 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabia on Tuesday expressed welcome for Qataris to perform Umrah, the general pilgrimage by Muslims, in the kingdom.
The Qatari people could visit Saudi Arabia for Umrah after registering online, said a statement by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah carried by the official Saudi Press Agency.
However, they could only come through King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina, the ministry statement added.
The welcome is part of Saudi Arabia's efforts to provide services and facilities for all Muslim pilgrims from around the world, the statement noted.
A Saudi-led Arab quartet including the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt cut diplomatic ties with Qatar in June 2017 and has since imposed an embargo on the Gulf state, accusing Doha of supporting terrorism.
Qatar has repeatedly denied all the charges.
