LAGOS, May 10 (Xinhua) -- The Nigeria Rugby Football Federation (NRFF) on Friday announced the appointment of Abubakar Yakubu as the acting technical director of the federation.
The appointment is part of the federation's drive to improve the development of rugby in Nigeria, Kelechi Mbagwu, the NRFF president said in a statement.
Mbagwu said Yakubu's experience as a former national player would be needed to revamp rugby across the country, adding that his target was to see more Nigerian youths in rugby.
He said the board would strive to support the growth of the sport at all levels.
