BANGKOK, May 16 (Xinhua) -- Thai police on Thursday arrested six alleged members of a drug gang and seized more than 400,000 methamphetamine pills during a raid in northeastern Thailand's Khon Kaen.
The house where the drug was kept was raided by a team of police, solders and local officials following tip-offs indicating it was being used by members of the "Every pill is fun" drug gang.
The gang reportedly stores illicit drugs before selling them to agents in the Northeast. Six people were found at the house and 406,000 speed pills worth more than 40 million baht (1.25 million U.S. dollars) packed in four sacks were seized.
Police said the house had been rented to non-local people, and teenagers from Khon Kaen province were often seen entering the house.
All the suspects confessed that they were members of the gang. They were to deliver the drugs to network members in six provinces in the northeast, according to police.
Each speed pill will be sold at 100 baht (about 3 U.S. dollars), reports said.
The suspects were held in police custody. More investigations are underway.
