JAKARTA, July 18 (Xinhua) -- China managed to secure quarter-final berths of all five events contended in 2019 Indonesia Open tournament.
In men's doubles, China's He Jiting/Tan Qiang will take on their compatriots Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen.
He Jiting/Tan Qiang grabbed the quarter-final berth after stopped their compatriots Han Chengkai/Zhou Haodong 21-17 and 21-18 in the qualifying round held in Jakarta landmark badminton stadium of Istora Senayan on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen eliminated Indonesian contenders Ricky Karanda Suwardi/Angga Pratama 21-10 and 21-13.
Another Chinese men's doubles pair Ou Xuanyi/Zhang Nan, will take on the defending champion from host country, Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo in another men's doubles quarter-final match.
In women's doubles, China's Du Yue/Li Yinhui will take on 2017 Indonesia Open champions Chen Qingchen/Jia Yifan in the quarter-finals.
Du Yue and Lin Yinghui defeated their compatriots Dong Wenjing/Feng Xueying in Thursday's qualifying round 21-11, 17-21 and 21-14.
The tournament's 2017 women's doubles champions trashed Indonesia's only hope Della Destiara Haris/Rizki Amelia Pradipta to book a quarter-final berth.
They beat the Indonesian duo in a two-straight game match ended with scores of 21-15 and 21-14.
In men's singles, China's Huang Yuxiang will vie against Thai player Kantaphon Wangcharoen.
Meanwhile in women's singles, the only Chinese quarter-finalist Chen Yufei will vie against Zhang Beiwen from the United States after the latter beat Chinese player He Bingjiao 21-15, 15-21 and 21-18.
To secure the quarter-final berth, Chen Yufei defeated Japanese player Sayaka Takahashi in three games 15-21, 21-17 and 21-12.
China's mixed doubles pair Wang Yilu/Huang Dongping would face opponents from Malaysia Goh Soon Huat/Lai Shevon Jemie in the quarter-finals.
