SANAA, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- Yemen's Houthi rebels said they attacked Saudi Najran airport with bomb-laden drones on Thursday night, the group's al-Masirah TV reported.
"The attack targeted aircraft hangars in the airport," the television said, citing a statement by the group's military spokesman Yahya Sarea as saying.
There was no comment from Saudi Arabia on the attack.
Houthis have recently stepped up missile and drone attacks on Saudi Arabia, but most of the attacks were intercepted by Saudi air defence forces.
Saudi Arabia has been leading an Arab military coalition against Iran-allied Houthis in Yemen for more than four years in support of the internationally-recognized government of Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi.
