YANGON, Aug. 17 (Xinhua) -- One person was injured while another one went missing in a landslide in Myanmar's Kachin state, the Home Affairs Ministry said Friday.
The incident took place in Hpakant mining region on Thursday morning.
The landslide buried two trucks which were dumping soil at a 121-meter-deep disused jade mining site owned by Nine Dragons private mining company near Maw-wan lay village in the region.
The injured was brought to the Hpakant General Hospital.
Search and rescue operation for the missing one was underway by local authorities.
