JAKARTA, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia has secured men's doubles title in 2019 Indonesia Masters as its top seeded pairing Marcus Fernaldi Gideon and Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo defeated Danish pair Kim Astrup/Anders Skaarup in the semifinals on Saturday.
The win of world no. 1 pairing entitled them to vie against their compatriots Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan who qualified earlier in the day.
Marcus/Kevin beat their sixth seeded Danish opponents in 34 minutes, winning 21-19, 21-13.
"We were confident, very much enjoyed the second game as our opponents could not escape from our pressures," Kevin told a press conference after the semifinal match.
